Hello! I’m Avneet Nandhra and I am here to assist you with all your commercial property needs. I am in a partnership with Nafisa Teja & Rina Shah and together, we service the Westlands & Surrounds area.
I was born and brought up in Nairobi, Kenya, where I completed my high school education. My work journey began at an early age working for a renowned Ophthalmologist dealing with mainly administration work, after which I was trained to perform certain tests on the equipment that were used for Lasik surgery. Within the practice, we also performed a lot of charity work in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Nairobi, where I organised free eye camps. It was a very humbling experience to give back to the community.
After eight years, I moved on to work with a real estate developer. I started as a Personal Assistant to the Director, who noticed I had flair in sales; therefore I was moved to the Sales & Marketing Department, where I attained the position of Assistant Marketing Manager. Four years later, I moved to the hospitality industry and became the Marketing & Events Co-ordinator for a serviced & furnished apartment complex.
This journey has been a learning curve, and each career path that I chose taught me various skills, and of course, brought out the best in me as I was able to identify talents that I possessed which I was unaware of. I have been fortunate to have met great people and mentors along the way who have been able to help me bring out the best in me, and it will only get better.
I thoroughly enjoy the pace that the commercial real estate market moves at; it is a completely different ball game altogether. It is fast-paced and involves a lot of networking, as well as research that one may have to carry out. I love the daily opportunities of interacting with new people from different walks of life. It brings me great joy when I pair the right tenant or buyer with the right landlord or seller.
In my personal time, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and family, especially spending quality time with my son. I am very passionate about trying to find a cure for cancer and caring for cancer patients. When time allows, I enjoy reading and travelling.
