Even if you live in an apartment complex with no sense of outdoors, or any outdoor space, that shouldn’t stop you from getting your green thumb busy. The ideal setting for an indoor herb garden would be kitchen where you could just pluck off the herbs and put them into your cooking without skipping a beat. If you don’t have space in your kitchen, you can find room in any area of the house and get started. Here’s how.
Getting the right herbs.
The first step is to get the right selection of herbs that will do well indoors, with limited space and light. These are herbs like oregano, coriander, rosemary, sage etc.
Finding the right spot.
For herbs to grow well indoors, they need as much natural light as possible. Place them in a spot where they can get as much natural light as possible – at least 4 hours of pure sunlight.
Give indoor herbs good drainage.
The fastest way to ruin is a good table or window sil is to let water drip onto it. Be sure to use a saucer or a pot or some sort of liner to ensure that the water does not drip onto the surface and ruin it.
Adjust the plants in accordance with the weather. During the colder months, move the plants away from the window to make sure they are not damaged by harsh weather.
The amount of water will definitely vary depending on the size and the type of plant that will be grown in the potted plant.
